    Hello!

I've delayed answering you as I've been doing a bit of research. I did find a couple of resources that may be useful to you. I am in England right now, so it's difficult for me to to how stores are at home for you. I did find that CVS pharmacy has very cheap glood glucose meters and strips (monitor shows online for $15.99 and strips for that monitor $45.99 for 100... about a month supply). They carry home a1c kits too. I remember that a friend used Walmart for insulin a few years back because they carried it at a very low price.

You may want to check into fightit.org, this is a non-profit for people in your situation. Their site is fight-it.org and they have a page to request assistance.

I hope that helps a bit. Hang in there, I know its difficult. I to work with children and often wonder if I should change careers due to my hypos. I don't want to scare them, ever. I've had one serious hypo at work and fortunately was able to treat it before it got too far along.
