I've switched my diabetic doctors many times since diagnosed. They've all been very helpful, as well as the nutritionists I've seen a few times. They've encouraged me to write my blood sugars down, and what I eat, as frequently as possible. It seriously makes all the difference. I know my body very well, and I know how to control my blood sugars -- usually, better than my doctors can.
I also consider my boyfriend to be my main influence on my health. He is so loving, and cares about diabetes so much. He's researched it, and got it down almost better than I do. Sometimes he can sense what my blood sugar is, high or low, even before I feel it :)
